The United Nations (UN) started a fellowship program in 2011 to help fight racial discrimination. Now, it’s backed by a General Assembly resolution. This program is part of the International Decade for People of African Descent, which is all about recognizing and supporting the rights of people with African ancestry everywhere. The High Commissioner is in charge of making sure this Decade happens smoothly. The main aim of this fellowship program is to help people get better at protecting the rights of people with African roots in their own countries.
This fellowship is a big opportunity for people. It’s fully funded, which means you won’t have to worry about money. Plus, it’s in Europe, which is exciting! And let’s not forget about Switzerland, where this fellowship is happening. It’s a beautiful country with so much to see and explore.
Time’s ticking, though! If you want to be part of this amazing experience and make a difference in the world, you need to act fast. Don’t miss out on this chance to improve your skills and help protect people’s rights. Apply now before it’s too late!
The United Nations (UN) was created back in 1945 to bring countries together and make sure there’s peace and cooperation around the world. One of its parts, the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), was set up in 1993. Its job is to make sure human rights are respected everywhere. This fellowship is a great opportunity for people with African roots to learn more about human rights and make a difference.
