Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Applicants must be nationals of a country that is a member of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Check the list of FAO member countries.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants must hold, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with Master’s or PhD degrees are also welcome. The degree must be from an institution listed in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).
- Language Proficiency: No specific language proficiency tests are required; however, fluency in one or more of the FAO’s official languages (English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is an advantage.
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be aged between 21 and 30 years at the start of the internship program.
- Family Relation: Applicants must not have any immediate family members (parents or siblings) employed by the FAO in any capacity.
- Visa Requirements: Candidates must be eligible to obtain a visa for travel to the internship location.
