The Royal Thai Government (RTG) provides non-binding, fully funded scholarships for Master’s and Ph.D. programs to applicants with exceptional academic achievements. These scholarships, administered by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), are open to students from Thailand and other Asian nations. Through these awards, students from across Asia have the opportunity to pursue studies and collaborate on research projects in a global environment.
The Government of Thailand offers three main scholarship programs for Asian students: “His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral and Master’s Programs,” “Her Majesty the Queen’s Scholarships for Master’s Program,” and the “Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS) Scholarships for Master’s Programs.” The Loom Nam Scholarships aim to foster human resource development in fields such as Infrastructure Development, Energy Technology, Oil, Gas, and Natural Resources, as well as Environmental Engineering and Management.
AIT focuses on enhancing global partnerships, fostering innovation in research and teaching, and promoting industrial relevance, entrepreneurship, and social impact. During their time in Thailand, students will undertake rigorous coursework, conduct meaningful research, and participate in outreach programs. AIT’s programs are designed to prepare graduates for leadership roles in their fields both in Asia and internationally, helping to build long-term cooperation and understanding between Asian nations.
