Monash Research Training Program 2024 (Fully Funded)

Welcome to Monash University, where our commitment to fostering an inclusive society begins with supporting Indigenous research and scholars. As part of our Impact 2030 commitment, we strive to recognize, respect, and celebrate Indigenous peoples, cultures, and knowledge. This pledge extends to our scholarship programs aimed at empowering Indigenous Australian students pursuing advanced degrees.

At Monash, we believe in tangible support for our Indigenous scholars. That’s why we offer scholarships specifically designed to aid Indigenous students in undertaking Research Doctorate or Research Masters degrees. These scholarships encompass not only financial support but also a commitment to nurturing a supportive academic environment.

For eligible Indigenous applicants embarking on full-time on-campus studies, we provide a comprehensive support package. This package includes an RTP Stipend and a Monash Indigenous Top-Up Research Award upon commencement. Moreover, scholarships are available for those opting for external or part-time enrollment, aligning with our dedication to accessibility and inclusivity.

Recognizing the importance of culturally sensitive supervision, all our supervisors undergo cultural safety training and professional development. We understand that enabling supervision practice is vital for the success of our Indigenous scholars, and we are committed to continual improvement in this area.

In partnership with the William Cooper Institute, we offer holistic support to Indigenous students throughout their academic journey. Our goal is not just enrollment but empowerment, ensuring that Indigenous scholars thrive in all aspects of their education.

At Monash University, we are more than just an institution; we are a community dedicated to championing Indigenous research and supporting Indigenous scholars. Join us as we work towards a future where Indigenous knowledge is recognized, respected, and celebrated.
