Introducing the Indo-Pacific Leadership Lab 2024, a fantastic chance for future leaders from three different countries to shine. Created by the East-West Centre and the Japan Foundation, this program aims to empower driven individuals who want to boost their leadership skills and make a real impact in various fields like academia, community work, business, government, and nonprofits.
This exciting leadership program invites participants to dive into a specific societal issue and spend a year exploring solutions. The journey includes three one-week seminars in Honolulu, Hawaii; Suva, Fiji; and Tokyo, Japan. Alongside fellow rising leaders from across the Indo-Pacific region, participants will dissect existing solutions, study community-based strategies, and examine how they align with local and regional policies. With guidance from experts and mentors, they’ll identify gaps and test solutions in their own communities.
The focus of this program is tackling climate change and related crises. Kicking off online in October 2024, the program will feature live sessions in Hawaii, Fiji, and Japan. Throughout the year, leaders will delve into climate adaptation plans and learn from local communities’ strategies for addressing challenges.
Graduates of the 2025 Lab will emerge with stronger skills to help communities communicate their adaptation goals and craft innovative solutions to climate change. Best of all, this program is fully funded in the US, Fiji, and Japan, covering all expenses from airfare to accommodation and meals. Imagine immersing yourself in the vibrant cultures of three amazing countries in just one year! Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity—apply now before it’s too late.
