Doha Institute Scholarships in Qatar 2025 | Funded

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) offers a variety of fully-funded scholarships in Qatar, aimed at attracting talented students both from within Qatar and from abroad. These scholarships are divided into categories: some are based on academic merit and competition, while others depend on financial need. The scholarships are designed for graduate researchers and professionals who can contribute to knowledge advancement and improve societal well-being by upholding high standards in research, professionalism, and ethics.

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers scholarship programs for Master’s and PhD students through its two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy. Students have the freedom to select their programs based on their interests and preferences.

There are 19 Master’s programs available for international students in this scholarship program, which include Public Policy, Development Economics, Public Administration, Executive Master of Public Administration, EMBA/EMPA Dual Degree Program, Clinical Psychology, Comparative Literature, Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action, Critical Security Studies, History, Human Rights, Journalism, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, Media Studies, Philosophy, Politics and International Relations, Social Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Anthropology. For Doctoral Studies, there are 8 academic programs, including History, Media Studies, Critical Security Studies, Political Science and International Relations, Linguistics and Arabic Lexicography, Sociology, Public Administration, and Development Economics.

The DI offers two main types of scholarships

  1. Tamim Scholarships: These are awarded based on academic excellence and merit, available to outstanding students from Qatar and international scholars. The scholarship covers full tuition fees, and international students will also receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, and free accommodation.
  2. Sanad Scholarships: These are need-based and provided to residents of Qatar, Qatari citizens, and international students. For foreign students, the scholarship offers full tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and free housing.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must apply using the scholarship application form provided by the Admissions Office.
  • All required documents must be submitted with the application.
  • Only one application per candidate is allowed.
  • Applicants must have proficiency in both English and Arabic.
