Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Swedish Institute Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of one of these countries: Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Thailand, or Vietnam.
  • Application Limit: Applicants with dual citizenship from eligible countries must choose one and submit only one application.
  • Application Fee: Pay the master’s program application fee on time through the University Admissions portal.
  • Conditional Admission: Applicants must be conditionally admitted to an eligible master’s program by the announcement date in March 2025. Late admissions will not be considered.
  • Enrollment Status: Candidates should not be currently enrolled in a master’s program at any Swedish university.
  • Previous Awards: Applicants who have already received an SI scholarship or hold a degree from a Swedish university are not eligible.
  • Residency Restrictions: Applicants must not have lived in Sweden for more than two years before applying for this scholarship.

Application Process

Follow these steps to apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarship 2025:

  1. Select a Master’s Program: Choose an eligible master’s program from the provided list of SI-approved courses.
  2. Submit Master’s Application: Apply for the selected master’s program through the University Admissions portal.
  3. Complete Application Requirements:
    • Log in to the University Admissions portal.
    • Search for and rank your chosen courses.
    • Upload required application documents.
    • Pay the application fee.
    • Register your citizenship status.
    • Submit your completed electronic application form.
  4. Receive Admission Notification: The University Admissions office will notify candidates of their admission status by March 27, 2025.
  5. Receive Scholarship Notification: The Swedish Institute will inform candidates about their scholarship selection by April 24, 2025.
