Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens
- Proficiency in English or Chinese is required
- For Master’s: born after January 1, 1995
- For PhD: born after January 1, 1990
- Must meet international admission criteria for USTC/UCAS
- Scholarship holders cannot take up other assignments
- Students already in a Master’s or PhD program in China are not eligible
- Awardees must complete Chinese language and culture training, required credits, and practical research/thesis at USTC/UCAS or CAS institutes
- Candidates may only apply to one institution, either USTC or UCAS

Application Process
- Create an account on the CAS ANSO Scholarship portal.
- Fill in the required information as instructed.
- Upload all necessary documents.
- Select either USTC or UCAS as the institution.
- Submit your application.
Required Documents
- Passport photocopy (valid for at least one year)
- Research proposal (800 words minimum)
- CV
- Two recommendation letters from professors
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form
- HSK certificate (for Chinese programs) or English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL for non-native speakers in English programs)
- Degree certificate (or pre-graduation certificate with completion date if not yet obtained)
- Academic transcripts for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees
- Proof of student status or employment (if applicable)
