NSTC International Internship in Taiwan | Paid Internship

The International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP), provided by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), is a paid internship in Taiwan aimed at attracting international talent by giving students the chance to explore Taiwan’s strengths in the fields of science and technology. The goal of the NSTC International Internship is to speed up the development of key scientific research areas, expand global research networks, improve technical skills, and provide a solid foundation for advancing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about science and technology, seeking to expand their knowledge on an international level.

Based on the subjects and areas of the participating projects, interns will join relevant research and educational activities during this paid internship. Interns will receive full support throughout their experience, helping them understand Taiwan and interact with local students. After completing the internship, which lasts up to 3 months, some interns might consider further studies or career opportunities in Taiwan. This experience will familiarize them with the work environment and job market in the country. IIPP will help strengthen Taiwan’s workforce in important research fields by recruiting new talent.

The NSTC international internship program aims to attract researchers from around the globe, drawing scientific talent to Taiwan. Through this program, foreign students can establish connections with researchers in Taiwan’s public and private sectors. During this internship for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students, participants will discover Taiwan’s expertise, particularly in high-tech industries. This initiative will help Taiwan’s advanced industries grow, expand global connections, and improve the talent pool. Different divisions of the Science and Technology Policy Research and Information Center (STPI) help link international students and researchers to academic and research institutions in Taiwan.

As the leading governmental think tank for science and technology policy, STPI acts as a key platform to unite Taiwan’s scientific communities. To enhance the quality of research, it collects, organizes, and shares science and technology data for innovation, competitiveness, sustainable growth, and social welfare. It also integrates and provides several national technology-related information services. STPI is progressing toward its goal of becoming a global hub for policy research, thanks to its strong academic background and research capabilities. Make sure to apply for this paid internship before the deadline approaches.
