Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship in the UK 2025 | Fully Funded

The Chevening India Cyber Security Fellowship is designed for mid-career professionals from India who are interested in exploring cyber security or cyber policy. This fully funded fellowship, hosted by Cranfield University, requires you to have a postgraduate qualification in engineering, science, or technology, or equivalent professional training or experience. You should also have excellent academic scores and relevant experience in the field.

The program is intended for individuals with strong leadership potential in cyber security. During the 10-week fellowship at the Defence Academy of the UK, Shrivenham Campus, you will gain practical experience in cyber security, policy, and law, focusing on national security, crime prevention, and privacy rights.

The fellowship covers topics like cyber threats, risk assessment, cyber governance, and the protection of national infrastructure. You will also learn about the economics of online businesses, consumer protection, cybercrime, and the use and misuse of social media.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian citizen, currently living in India
  • Must return to India after completing the fellowship
  • Must not hold British or dual British citizenship
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience
  • Postgraduate qualification in engineering, science, or technology, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant experience in cyber policy or cyber security
  • Strong leadership skills and innovative abilities
  • Good working knowledge of English
  • Must not be an employee, ex-employee, or relative of an employee of His Majesty’s government, the British Council, or a sponsoring UK university
