Taipei Medical University is inviting applications for its TMU Elite Short-Term Exchange Program 2024. This is a fully funded student exchange program in Taiwan, where students will have the chance to study at a prestigious medical institution and experience life in Taipei City. Over the course of five months at TMU, students will engage with working professionals and peers from around the world, enhancing their educational experience. The international exchange program includes a Mandarin intensive course, offering six hours of language and cultural immersion each week. Additionally, there is a medical-related course for six hours each month. A significant component of the program is a three-month academic research project, providing students with practical and theoretical knowledge. The program runs from September 2024 to January 2025. Candidates who are shortlisted will undergo an interview, after which selected individuals will be invited to participate in this enriching course.
TMU offers a wide range of courses in various medical fields such as Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nutrition, Anatomy, Nursing, Public Health, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Long Term Care, and Digital Health. Students will also participate in an off-campus program that includes visits to a Pharmaceutical Factory, Medical Institutions, VIP Wards, a Laboratory, a Medical Simulation Education Centre, and a VR Experience space. The Chinese language instruction provided during the program will aid students in learning a new language.

Eligibility & Criteria for Qualification
- Be a citizen of one of the following countries: Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, or New Zealand.
- Have a background in biological sciences, healthcare, laboratory work, data analysis, or any related medical field.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or be in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of university or higher.
- Provide proof of having at least $1000 in funds.
- Not have received any financial aid or scholarships from the Government of Taiwan or other Taiwanese educational institutions previously.
