The UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum is an exciting opportunity taking place in India, focused on the theme “World Heritage in the 21st Century: Building Capacities and Exploring Opportunities for Youth.” This forum, happening in 2024, aims to empower young professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to preserve and enhance cultural and natural heritage sites. Aside from delving into discussions and gaining a deeper understanding of global sustainable development and world heritage concepts, attendees will also have the chance to immerse themselves in India’s rich local heritage and its management practices. At the conclusion of this international forum, the young professionals will present their Declaration during the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee.

The UNESCO Youth Forum 2024 promises a diverse range of activities, including lectures, roundtables, debates, and site visits led by both local experts and international figures. Eligibility & Criteria for Qualification

  • Be between 23 and 32 years old.
  • Have experience in fields like World Heritage, conservation, archaeology, architecture, urban planning, restoration, art history, tourism, climate change, and digital technology.
  • Be able to use what you learn in your own country.
  • Attend the forum in person on the specified dates.
  • Be proficient in English since the forum will be conducted in English.
