Scholarship Allowance
- Stipend: You get AUD $28,597 every year (the latest amount). This amount increases a bit each year on January 1st.
- Moving Help: The TGRS gives you up to AUD $2,000 to help with the costs of moving to Tasmania for your research studies.
- 3. Extra Support: Sometimes, you might also get extra money or rewards along with your Tasmania Graduate Research Scholarship. This could be from small awards, extra allowances, or money you earn from part-time work, as long as it follows the rules set by the University.
Eligibility & Criteria for Qualification
- Education Requirement: You need to have finished at least four years of university studies and achieved a good grade in your degree (an upper second class Honors degree or similar).
- Full-Time Research: This scholarship is for students who will be studying full-time for a research master’s or doctoral degree in 2024.
- No Other Funding: You should not have another scholarship, award, or job that pays more than seventy-five percent of the scholarship’s base rate.
- Income Consideration: Only income directly related to your research studies should be counted. Money from other jobs or sources shouldn’t be included.
- Previous Degrees: If you’ve already completed a degree at the same level or higher, or if you’ve had a scholarship for more than six months, you can still apply. However, priority will be given to applicants who haven’t had these opportunities before.
